How it Works

HomeAdvice™ was designed to be easy for residential HVAC contractors to use and simple enough for homeowners to understand. The process involves three main steps:

  1. Place a monitor in your customer’s home. Data is automatically transmitted to our data center through a cellular network or phone line.
  2. Log into your AirAdvice account to see the IAQ issues in the home and recommended solutions.
  3. Print the HomeAdvice report and review it with your customer to visually demonstrate the problems in the home along with your recommended solutions.

The Technology

The technology you get when you purchase HomeAdvice as a contractor includes the monitor, software, and unlimited reports.

With its built-in modem, the monitor sends data to the HomeAdvice servers when connected to a phone line.

When not connected, the monitor can store data for up to 14 days.

Optionally, it can be deployed with other satellite monitors to provide a complete picture of the home’s IAQ and comfort.

HomeAdvice™ is meant to clearly show issues in homes along with recommended solutions. After conducting a test using a HomeAdvice monitor, a contractor will run a report and review test results and recommendations with the homeowner.
The HomeAdvice report makes the invisible visible – showing indoor air quality (IAQ) issues that are usually not apparent to homeowners.

Testimonial

A lot of our customers use the HomeAdvice test to help them make decisions about retrofits. They don’t know what is really going on with their existing equipment until they see the results from the report, but once they do, the opportunities for cost and energy savings and healthier air tend to get people excited. — Jonathon Moscatello, Indoor Environmental Advisor, First Call Heating and Cooling
