About The BuildingAdvice Hardware Kit
The BuildingAdvice™ system is a set of measurement devices (satellite monitors) built upon a seamless wireless communication methodology that allows for easy deployment within buildings.
Each of the monitors (such as the Model 730, 740 & 7100) is about the size of standard computer speaker and uses the Zigbee™ wireless mesh protocol (802.15.4MHz) to communicate building performance information to a central Communication Gateway.
The Gateway receives the building performance data from the monitors and then communicates with AirAdvice’s data center using Cellular (GSM) communications. As a failsafe, the system can store up to 1 month's worth of data when wireless communication is unavailable.
Overall, the BuildingAdvice system is designed for easy deployment within a building and is independent of the building's IT infrastructure, so there are no hassles in getting data from the building. It is built on a robust flexible architecture that is fully FCC compliant.
Standard BuildingAdvice Kit Components
The Communication Gateway (Model 300)
The Communication Gateway controls and manages the local wireless network between monitors, can store up to a month of building performance data, and communicates with the AirAdvice servers.
The Ventilation Satellite (Model 740)
- Measures Temperature, Relative Humidity, Light and Carbon Dioxide to help effectively diagnose building performance for comfort, ventilation and HVAC/Light schedules.
- Runs on a 6 volt power supply
- Communicates wirelessly to the Gateway using the AirAdvice Zigbee™ protocol
- Acts as a router for other monitors' data to the Gateway, and can act as a data logger by taking readings every 2 minutes and storing them for up to 1 month.
The Comfort Satellite (Model 730)
- Measures Temperature, Relative Humidity and Light to help effectively diagnose building performance for comfort and HVAC/Light schedules.
- Runs on 3 AA batteries
- Communicates wirelessly to the Gateway using the AirAdvice Zigbee™ protocol
- Can act as a data logger by taking readings every 2 minutes and storing them for up to 1 month.
