James Crowder, President and Chief Executive Officer, is strongly committed to helping building owners and their service providers to reduce operating costs and run more energy-efficient buildings. During his 25-year career, he created dynamic new divisions within several Fortune 500 companies and led key turnaround efforts in smaller corporations. He spearheaded business development and successful technology startups within both established and emerging companies. He now brings his history of leadership in growth and innovation to AirAdvice.
Meindert Kleefstra, Co-founder and Vice President of Engineering, leads technical development at AirAdvice. Meindert has more than 25 years of experience in both analog and digital design. He has held numerous engineering management positions in advanced instrumentation companies, and he developed the original AirAdvice monitor prototype. Meindert holds 12 U.S. patents and has one more are pending. He received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnical College Leeuwarden, Netherlands.
Tim Kensok, Vice President of Market Development, brings 20+ years of experience in HVAC markets, indoor air quality systems and controls, building science, and product development to the business development and engineering functions at AirAdvice. He has been granted 13 U.S. patents in mechanical design and comfort control techniques. A past member of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) board of directors, he has served as chair of the ARI Humidifiers Product Section and Air Filters Section. He also serves as an advisor to the board of directors for the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). Prior to joining AirAdvice, Tim was Product Leader of Honeywell’s Indoor Air Quality and Zoning Products business.
Don Aultman, Chief Financial Officer, oversees AirAdvice’s Accounting and Finance functions. He has over 20 years experience in distribution as both a CFO and CEO, and has led startups in the environmental arena. Don received his B.S. in Economics at Yale, and his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School.
