James Crowder, President and Chief Executive Officer, is strongly committed to helping HVAC contractors improve indoor air quality in homes and commercial buildings. He spearheaded business development and successful technology startups within both established and emerging companies. During his 25-year career, he created dynamic new divisions within several Fortune 500 companies and led key turnaround efforts in smaller corporations. He now brings his history of leadership in growth and innovation to AirAdvice.

Gary Frayn, Vice President of Commercial Services, complements his years of national sales oversight and leadership with a background in mechanical engineering and technical sales. While serving as general manager at Siemens Building Technologies, Portland branch, Gary drove record levels of revenue growth. He then moved to Harland Financial Solutions as vice president of sales, where he oversaw a 45-person national sales team. His proven track record and combined technical and sales management experience make him an ideal fit as leader of the AirAdvice sales team.

Meindert Kleefstra, Co-founder and Vice President of Engineering, leads IAQ technical development at AirAdvice. Meindert has more than 25 years of experience in both analog and digital design. He has held numerous engineering management positions in advanced instrumentation companies, and he developed the original AirAdvice monitor prototype. Meindert holds seven U.S. patents and two more are pending. He received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnical College Leeuwarden, Netherlands.

Tim Kensok is Director of Business Development at AirAdvice. His 20 years of experience have focused on HVAC markets, applications, and systems; indoor air quality systems; building science; indoor environmental controls; and product development from both marketing and engineering perspectives. He has been granted 13 U.S. patents in mechanical design and comfort control techniques. A past member of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) board of directors, he has served as chair of the ARI Humidifiers Product Section and Air Filters Section. He also serves as an advisor to the board of directors for the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). Prior to joining AirAdvice, Tim was Product Leader of Honeywell's Indoor Air Quality and Zoning Products business.

Don Aultman, Chief Financial Officer, oversees our Accounting, IT, Manufacturing and Customer Support groups. He has over 20 years experience in distribution as both a CFO and CEO, and has led startups in the environmental arena. Don received his B.S. in Economics at Yale, and his M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School.

Steven Carnegie, Chief Information Officer, manages the information technology and software system development at AirAdvice. During Steven’s more than twenty years of high-tech and entrepreneurial experience, he has held the positions of Director of IT, Director of R&D, Principal Architect and VP of Engineering. He received a B.S. degree in computer science and MBA with a focus on Innovation and Technology from Portland State University.
